The delicious offerings of our kitchen are like Helsinki today: a lovely combination of international flavours and the best Finnish raw materials. Starting at 8 AM, Sofia has the best cinnamon rolls and blueberry pie ready for you - naturally fresh from our own oven. Bread, in various guises, is also one of our fortes. Smoked salmon on rye bread, sourdough bread with goat cheese or pea pesto as well as warm turkey and vegetable reubens in New York style will keep even the most interested foodies going. Fresh, cold drinks, hot coffee, brewed tea or a cup of cocoa will complement your experience. The smoothies from our kitchen are a nice addition to kickstart your morning with a healthy dose of vitamins. This is a test. If you’ve read down to this point and visit or counter saying “Sofia – a nice twist”, we’ll serve you coffee and cinnamon rolls for two for the price of one. The Sofia Café and Bar will soon be open for service. You’ll find bread delicacies, various pastries, special coffees, lovely wines and cold beers at Unioninkatu 27 from early morning until late in the evening. The walls of the café are decorated with both pictures from the history of the Senate Square and art. The library of the bar has detective stories for you to read.
Sofia’s lunch
A good lunch is always carefully prepared, from the best raw materials, and the flavour always has that something special. It is healthy, gives you enough energy for the rest of the day, but doesn’t weigh you down at your work. Our chef will build you a delicious portion that you can complement with salad as well as bread from Sofia’s oven and a selection of table spreads. Catering for events and celebrations
Our skilful and experienced celebration team will serve you just the correct flavour combinations and service for your event. It is always a good idea to book service for meetings and conferences to keep the participants’ energy levels high and mood up for the whole day. For events and parties we will find just the right, delicious menu to suit you, your guests and your theme. We can serve you anything from a formal dinner to cocktail parties, children’s parties to midnight hot dogs. We love to celebrate!
